Good Morning to one and all

I am one of the patients of your prestigious Medical Center last Tuesday, January 27, who had undergone Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). I wish to thank all the staff/employees who extended their unselfish and dedicated assistance while I was at the Center.  Special mention to Dr. Hidegunda Santos, Medicard coordinator, the HMO staff (the two ladies from the billing section), Mr. Oliver Hufana and his staff (MRI section), and the nursing students who assisted at the MRI section.

THANK YOU ALL. . .

Sometimes a happy face
Takes us to a cheerful place,
Where all the sadness
Turns into gladness
And troubles fade way...
Worries and fears dissipate
And happiness ensues...
So here's a bunch of happy smiles
Especially for you ALL …

 Have a nice DAY !!

“A smiling face is the mirror of our body and can heal sick patients” – Last March I came here for check-up. I was then referred to Dr. Espinosa so I went to his clinic. He sent me back here for EEG. The staff downstairs at the front office did the EEG for me right away so I had the time to go back to Dr. Espinosa who interpreted the result. It was done so fast that we had the time to go back to Ilocos that same day. I thank the staff very much. To Lorma as a whole, thank you so much and may God bless you all. All the staff and employees of Lorma Hospital are very friendly. I’m very glad to see their smiling faces every morning. Keep up your good work!!!

May 12, 2004 marked the 70th year anniversary of Lorma Medical Center; the largest, well-known and most respected private hospital in Northern Luzon. The event was celebrated along with the inauguration and blessing of Lorma Colleges, San Juan Campus; a new grade school and high school added to Lorma’s quality, academic offering.

President of Lorma Inc., Dr. Rufino L. Macagba, Jr. delivers his address to attendees.

“It was fitting that the occasion of our 70th year was celebrated on hospital day and as a lesser known fact, on the birthday of Florence Nightingale,” said Dr. Rufino L. Macagba, Jr., president of Lorma Inc. “If there is any world figure associated with nursing care, it would certainly be Florence Nightingale,” added Dr. Macagba. Fitting and appropriate it was as the gala tribute was attended by dignitaries, business leaders, management and staff of Lorma, Inc. The Governor of La Union, Honorable Victor F. Ortega and his wife the Honorable Mayor Mary Jane Ortega were among those who graced the affair.

Father Kleopas entertains the audience with an operatic performance.

Guests were treated to a delicious selection of gourmet foods and an elegantly prepared dining area at the new campus for the occasion. Entertainment was also provided by Father Kleopas, a talented Greek Orthodox monk who performed operatic renditions of “O Solo Mio” and “Grenada” along with a romantic mix of classical, jazz and Broadway selections by tenor, Jonathan Malicsi and soprano singing star, Aileen Cura.

The blessing of the new Lorma College San Juan Campus also gave the community a chance to see the newly erected twin building structure that is to house the grade school and high school. “We are making every effort to make sure that not only is the structure of the new campus of high quality but the level of education offered to be just as good,” said Mr. Robert F. Kaiser, Jr., Executive Vice President of Lorma, Inc.

Started as a small home clinic in 1934 by founders Drs. Rufino & Crispina L. Macagba, the hospital has grown into an institution known for quality healthcare services and medical excellence. The leadership of President Rufino L. Macagba, Jr. and administration of Executive Vice President Mr. Robert F. Kaiser brought about unprecedented growth for the hospital and solidified its position as the leading medical care provider in the north.

Second only to autonomous status, Lorma Colleges does not need CHED approval anymore before it can start new courses.
