“A smiling face is the mirror of our body and can heal sick
patients” – Last March I came here for check-up. I was then referred to Dr.
Espinosa so I went to his clinic. He sent me back here for EEG. The staff
downstairs at the front office did the EEG for me right away so I had the time
to go back to Dr. Espinosa who interpreted the result. It was done so fast that
we had the time to go back to Ilocos that same day. I thank the staff very much.
To Lorma as a whole, thank you so much and may God bless you all. All the staff
and employees of Lorma Hospital are very friendly. I’m very glad to see their
smiling faces every morning.

Lorma Medical Center has a long history of service to the people of La Union,
dating back about 70 years. While its humble beginnings are far what it is now,
the institution had its roots planted in good soil. The founders, Drs. Rufino
and Crispina Lorenzana Macagba, had a penchant for service. They chose to practice
their profession here as they were Iloconos who loved the people and place where
they grew up. They had a life force that strived only for quality in medical
care but also in service (and both guided by Christian love). This zeal has been
maintained.
The objectives of this directory serve two purposes. First, Lorma now is a
well developed medical facility. It has some of the newest equipment in the
Philippines and is also very complete and ready to render virtually all medical
services. Also, in recent years we have been fortunate enough to attract many
fine doctor specialists in most every aspect of patient care. Second there are
many new companies and people who have moved into our Region. And while we have
many patients that come from far places such as Ilocos Norte, Baguio and even
Pangasanan, not everyone knows about the excellent doctors and completes medical
services that are available. Since we want you know more about the Lorma family
we are pleased to offer this directory of medical services.
A fully equipped Intensive Care Unit, excellent patient rooms and suites, the
most modern x-ray and laboratory facility in the north and other services such
as computerized dialysis, EEG, EMG, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, CT,
Echocardiography, Stress Test, an Eye institute, cancer care, and of course
other areas such as a nursery and ER. For the current year the hospitals is
undertaking the construction of enlarged and state of the art Operating Room
Suites.
Yet despite the progress the owners, management and all the employees continue
to strive for growth also in spiritual development so the process of healing
will also encompass a true Christian concern and caring.
