I am one of the patients of your prestigious Medical Center last Tuesday, January 27, who had undergone Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). I wish to thank all the staff/employees who extended their unselfish and dedicated assistance while I was at the Center. Special mention to Dr. Hidegunda Santos, Medicard coordinator, the HMO staff (the two ladies from the billing section), Mr. Oliver Hufana and his staff (MRI section), and the nursing students who assisted at the MRI section.
THANK YOU ALL. .

“A smiling face is the mirror of our body and can heal sick
patients” – Last March I came here for check-up. I was then referred to Dr.
Espinosa so I went to his clinic. He sent me back here for EEG. The staff
downstairs at the front office did the EEG for me right away so I had the time
to go back to Dr. Espinosa who interpreted the result. It was done so fast that
we had the time to go back to Ilocos that same day. I thank the staff very much.
To Lorma as a whole, thank you so much and may God bless you all. All the staff
and employees of Lorma Hospital are very friendly. I’m very glad to see their
smiling faces every morning.
Keep up your good work!!!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
A department is born.
By: Ramil Ramirez, January 19, 2005, San Fernando City, La Union.
Today, in a small and intimate gathering, the new Head Office of the Marketing and Administrative Services of Lorma Medical Center was blessed. This is the first time the esteemed hospital had such a department to emphasize the importance of marketing and administrative services in today’s healthcare marketplace.
The increasing number of new private and public medical institutions has brought about competition among hospitals to attract and retain patients, doctors and quality staff. It’s not enough to just have adequate hospital facilities these days. With so many choices available to consumers, it has become increasingly essential to create an experience tailored to patient expectations in order to keep them coming back.
“It’s really the job of a marketing department to position a brand as the leader in its field,” says Mr. Allan A. Alvarez, Director of Marketing and Administrative Services. “It must be clear in the mind of the consumer that the ‘brand’ will deliver expected results. In our case, the Lorma brand must convey quality healthcare for the medical center, quality education for the college and meaningful community projects for the community foundation.”
Mr. Alvarez also oversees the Administrative Services of the hospital. Traditionally taking on more of a support role, administrative services are increasingly becoming key elements in the delivery of quality healthcare. Comprised of General Services, Dietary, Laundry and Linen, each department contributes significantly to the overall function of the hospital. According to Mr. Alvarez, creating awareness in how each section contributes to the entire hospital service delivery system will pave the way to more efficient and effective administrative services.
Since its inception in 1934, Lorma Medical Center has been the preferred healthcare provider of choice for most of the inhabitants of Region. Known for its outstanding medical services, Lorma has received numerous awards from the Philippine Department of Health for community service and is considered the primary referral hospital in Northern Luzon.
