I am one of the patients of your prestigious Medical Center last Tuesday, January 27, who had undergone Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). I wish to thank all the staff/employees who extended their unselfish and dedicated assistance while I was at the Center. Special mention to Dr. Hidegunda Santos, Medicard coordinator, the HMO staff (the two ladies from the billing section), Mr. Oliver Hufana and his staff (MRI section), and the nursing students who assisted at the MRI section.
THANK YOU ALL. .

“A smiling face is the mirror of our body and can heal sick
patients” – Last March I came here for check-up. I was then referred to Dr.
Espinosa so I went to his clinic. He sent me back here for EEG. The staff
downstairs at the front office did the EEG for me right away so I had the time
to go back to Dr. Espinosa who interpreted the result. It was done so fast that
we had the time to go back to Ilocos that same day. I thank the staff very much.
To Lorma as a whole, thank you so much and may God bless you all. All the staff
and employees of Lorma Hospital are very friendly. I’m very glad to see their
smiling faces every morning.
Keep up your good work!!!
Thank you for my pleasant stay at Lorma. Keep up the excellent

well to patient’s complaints. He shows happy disposition. Hope he’ll be a fellow

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Healthcare on wheels!
By: Ramil Ramirez, October 18, 2004, San Fernando City, La Union.
In today’s working environment, everybody is just too busy. It’s hard to take time off from work to attend children’s school activities, participate in civic causes and most of all, keep ourselves healthy. A visit to the doctor becomes a burden rather than an honest effort to stay healthy.
To address the need for a more convenient way to stay healthy, Lorma Medical Center recently completed and launched their new mobile clinic – a mobile healthcare vehicle created to perform medical checkups onsite, at company premises.
With the mobile clinic, a complete physical examination is possible including X-ray and standard laboratory tests. The mobile clinic is complete with portable beds, air-conditioning, a fully functional mobile x-ray and changing rooms for patients. It has its own portable generator and automatic voltage regulator to insure adequate and ample power supply during examinations. A V6 engine also allows the mobile clinic to reach far-flung places and handle rough terrain.
“It takes away the burden of having to come to the hospital for a physical examination,” says Allan A. Alvarez, Director of Marketing and Administrative Services. “Most companies require their employees to have an annual physical examination allowing them to take time from work to go to the hospital and receive the necessary checkups. This takes them away from their duties usually for one whole day. With the mobile clinic, they wouldn’t need to come to the hospital – we will go to their company and perform the physical examination there. Taking time away from work is only one encumbrance. Traffic, long lines of people who are ill, lack of parking space and ongoing construction around the hospital makes it difficult to manoeuvre, particularly if a physical exam is all that is needed.”
There are certainly a lot of things going on at Lorma Medical Center these days. The recently completed Lorma Grade School in San Juan, La Union, construction of new state-of-the-art operating rooms and a 5-storey medical arts building (to include a helipad) are some of the activities currently going on at the hospital’s premises. Furthermore, in staying true to their mission of achieving healthcare excellence, the hospital and Lorma Colleges has officially began their efforts to be ISO 9001 certified; an effort that will place both the hospital and the college in league of their own. The mobile clinic is suited to handle corporate, government or business examinations where large numbers of employees are required to undergo checkups resulting in a hassle-free, convenient and effective way to address healthcare requirements. The mobile clinic can handle anywhere from 10 to 200+ employees anywhere within the province of La Union, some parts of Pangasinan, Ilocos Sur and C.A.R.
More importantly, the mobile clinic can reach rural villages for medical outreach programs; key goals for various civic organizations and specifically, Lorma’s Community Development Foundation.
Managers reading this article might be saying “a service like that must be expensive!” Actually, since the mobile clinic can handle patients in groups, volume discounts are often given for mobile healthcare services. Cost is certainly an advantage but the main benefit is the convenience of staying healthy without sacrificing productivity.
So, healthcare on wheels anyone? - #RR
