Good Morning to one and all

I am one of the patients of your prestigious Medical Center last Tuesday, January 27, who had undergone Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). I wish to thank all the staff/employees who extended their unselfish and dedicated assistance while I was at the Center.  Special mention to Dr. Hidegunda Santos, Medicard coordinator, the HMO staff (the two ladies from the billing section), Mr. Oliver Hufana and his staff (MRI section), and the nursing students who assisted at the MRI section.

THANK YOU ALL. . .

Sometimes a happy face
Takes us to a cheerful place,
Where all the sadness
Turns into gladness
And troubles fade way...
Worries and fears dissipate
And happiness ensues...
So here's a bunch of happy smiles
Especially for you ALL …

 Have a nice DAY !!

“A smiling face is the mirror of our body and can heal sick patients” – Last March I came here for check-up. I was then referred to Dr. Espinosa so I went to his clinic. He sent me back here for EEG. The staff downstairs at the front office did the EEG for me right away so I had the time to go back to Dr. Espinosa who interpreted the result. It was done so fast that we had the time to go back to Ilocos that same day. I thank the staff very much. To Lorma as a whole, thank you so much and may God bless you all. All the staff and employees of Lorma Hospital are very friendly. I’m very glad to see their smiling faces every morning. Keep up your good work!!!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Allan A. Alvarez (center), Lorma Medical Center’s Director of Marketing and Administrative Services shake hands with Mr. Roderick F. Landicho (right - Section Chief for Equitable Card) and Mrs. Linda Rosales (left - Branch Manager Equitable PCI, San Fernando City, La Union) during the installation of the first ever VISA/Mastercard acceptance machine at any hospital in La Union.

Alternative financing for healthcare needs top priority for med center.

By: Ramil Ramirez, March 2, 2004, San Fernando City, La Union.

Lorma Medical Center, the leading provider of healthcare services in Region 1, today announced a powerful strategic alliance with Equitable Cards to begin accepting credit card payments for hospital and medical services strengthening its commitment to quality service offerings by providing customers with an alternative payment method for their medical needs.

"As our customers´ requirements evolve and the market continues to grow, the need for various payment options is essential in order to continue delivering superior service," said Allan A. Alvarez, Director of Marketing and Administrative Services for Lorma Medical Center. "Accepting credit card payments is an industry-proven solution that will enable Lorma Medical Center to seamlessly expand its service offerings to a growing customer base." This new partnership will allow Lorma to accept Visa, Mastercard, JCB and American Express credit cards issued from any bank in the world.

In addition to accepting payments through major credit cards, Lorma has also installed an ATM machine on its premises. Patients in need of extra cash can now visit the Lorma ATM without having to travel to the city or go to their bank. The arrangement is convenient not just for patients but for Lorma personnel as well. Since most employees receive their salaries through a direct deposit, having an ATM on the premises allows them to access their account 24 hours a day, 7 days week.

Mr. Alvarez also states that, “the focus of our customer service strategy is to make a visit to Lorma a more pleasant, convenient and satisfying experience for our valued clients and staff. Adding the credit card payment method and having an ATM at the hospital elevates Lorma’s payment acceptance capabilities to that of its contemporaries in Manila and other hospitals around the world.”

The hospital is also setting its eye on trends in e-commerce. Since most e-commerce transactions are done with credit cards, making this arrangement possible today helps to position the hospital for developments in financing healthcare and medical needs tomorrow. (###)
