The Lorma Medical Center recently opened its 5-week Specialty Course focusing on Hemodialysis Training.
The program is designed to equip registered nurses with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide efficient care to renal patients. The training included one week lecture sessions, which included topics such as Water Treatment, Priming the Dialysis Machine, Cannulation of the Fistula, Laboratory and Dietary Guideline. All these considered strict infection control protocols. The participants also spent four weeks clinical exposure in the Lorma Dialysis Unit.
The participants, who will pass the Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) Test, are assured of job placements at Lorma.
