The Lorma Radiology Department recently acquired a new Bone Densitometry machine, the first in Region I.

A Bone Densitometer is used to perform bone mineral tests in order to diagnose mild to sever bone loss(osteoporosis), see how well osteoporosis medicine is working, and predict the patient’s risk of future bone fractures.

Fractures caused by Osteoporosis can be Life Threatening and a major cause of LONG TERM DISABILITY
